Goodwill is dedicated to equipping people to find employment, advance their careers and care for themselves and their families. Goodwill Industries Week has been observed by Goodwill organizations for nearly 70 years. It was first celebrated in May 1951 as a way to encourage Goodwill organizations to educate their communities about our mission. “Goodwill Industries Week is a time to collaborate with local employers and give job seekers the opportunity to learn about new job opportunities, ask their questions and share their resume,” explained Fabia Parkinson, Goodwill San Diego Vice President of Human Services.
